SOPHIA ANTIPOLIS, FRANCE – May 1, 2011 – Today, eVOTZ establishes its European office in Sophia Antipolis, Europe's first technology cluster, which owes its success to an extraordinary community of 20,000 engineers and researchers specialized in IT. This guarantees a positioning of the Company's R&D at the forefront of IT convergence, further bolstered by the presence of major research labs and international organizations such as ETSI, ERCIM and W3C.
Located in the heart of Sophia Antipolis (in cooperation with Télécom ParisTech EURECOM Entrepreneurs in Sophia), eVOTZ is benefiting from the incubator support and regional ecosystem of experts for growth in France and the EU region. For over ten years, Télécom ParisTech has been supporting the creation of innovative businesses.
Télécom ParisTech EURECOM Entrepreneurs is a business incubator focusing on start-up creation projects in the area of information technologies who choose to develop their project in this science park composed of 14 000 companies in the ICT field.
The eVOTZ incubation office is located near Nice—the regional leader for "contactless" technology in France. The eVOTZ solution for voting includes NFC applications that can be tested and strengthened in the region. The Côte d'Azur is home to over 1,200 IT companies, including global leaders in microelectronics, telecommunications and software development.
The establishment of this new eVOTZ office and incubation was organized by Team Côte d'Azur.
